Jim Ohrberg

Candela Controls, Inc.

Jim has been a programmer of lighting consoles and show control systems since 1989. He has experience with theme parks, corporate events, commercial installations, touring theater, concerts, and houses of worship. He has programmed shows for several Broadway veterans including lighting designers Ken Billington, Paul Gallo, Philip Rosenberg, and Jason Kantrowitz, as well as directors James Lapine, Jeff Calhoun, and Warren Carlyle. He has been a part of two La Jolla Playhouse productions in the quest to reach Broadway, one which made it (Chaplin), and one that did not (Little Miss Sunshine). He has also programmed several national tours including White Christmas, Fiddler on the Roof, and Dreamgirls. His work can be seen on a daily basis locally in the fountain shows at SeaWorld Orlando, and in the nightly light shows on the causeway between the Swan and Dolphin hotels. Jim currently works for lighting systems integrator Candela Controls as a Paradigm, Mosaic, and Crestron programmer. He specializes in the ETC EOS platform of lighting consoles, participating in their beta program, and conducting end-user console training.
