Mark Nichols is currently the VP of Design & Development for GES. His recent projects include Silverstein Properties' Marketing Experience at the World Trade Center in NYC, the Canada Pavilion for the 2010 Winter Olympiad in Vancouver, and “Harry Potter: the Exhibition” touring globally.
After earning his BFA in Theatre Design from the University of Southern California, Mark’s three-decade career has been an unplanned journey through theatre, music, and theme parks, including being a producer/promoter of concerts and theatrical productions, full-time employment with Universal Studios, ITEC Entertainment, Paramount Parks, and also with Walt Disney Entertainment as their show producer for the ESPN Club, Atlantic Dance, Rockin’ Rockets, and Illuminations: Reflections of Earth at Epcot.
Conducting business as MANic Endeavors producing/designing/consulting for the arts, entertainment, and leisure industries, Mark provided services for clients such as Walt Disney Co, Universal Studios, the NY Metropolitan Opera and the NY Philharmonic, Idletime Network, Signal Perfection Ltd., the 1992 World’s Fair in Seville, Spain, and a couple of Vegas casinos.
For almost two decades, he has been an active advocate for the performing arts in Central Florida working on several non-profit boards such as Voci Dance, Theatre UCF, and Central Florida Performing Arts Alliance, as well as mentoring students at Lake Highland Prep School, Rollins College, and the University of Central Florida.
His specialties include show production; theatrical facility/attraction design; theatrical lighting, audio and scenic design; administrative skills in project and personnel management, project scheduling & budgeting; theatre, dance & concert promotion/programming; creative writing and script analysis.
