Robbi is the Director of Theatrical Services at Busch Gardens Tampa. Her responsibilities include overseeing all the technical aspects of the park’s live entertainment, shows, festivals and special events. These technical elements include theatrical scenery, puppets and props, theatrical audio, lighting, and special effects as well as Project Management for new performance venues as they are constructed or refurbished. Her responsibilities also include managing technicians and collaborating with our theatrical contractors and suppliers.
After studying Communications and Theater at the University of South Florida and working at WUSF-Radio, Robbi first joined the Entertainment Department at Busch Gardens as a Show Operator. Now more than 32 years later, she is proud to have worked successfully on literally thousands of shows and events of every style, size and budget, notably spearheading and developing the park’s largest Festival, Howl-O-Scream.
Robbi is the 2011 Chair of the Entertainment Committee for the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) which administers the new Brass Ring Awards for Live Entertainment Excellence. For the last seven years, she has produced the IAAPA Big E Awards honoring the Best Live Show Productions in the Attractions Industry.
